Book Review:

The Prayer Wheel is a great invitation and guide to meditation and prayer through the riches of the Christian faith.  This book is based on a “prayer wheel” invented by medieval monks and it takes different phrases from fundamental teachings and traditional prayers and puts them into concentric circles.  The wheel then becomes a summary of Christian teachings, in a format naturally inviting prayer and reflection on the relationships between the Christian faith elements.  The book provides reflections for each of the phrases.

I found the book to be warm and inviting, filled with great templates for prayers.  The prayers give the reader a new language to speak directly to God, yet also invites personalization within the prayers.  I found this to be a good book on understanding how scripture can help you develop a wonderful prayer relationship with God.

I received a complementary copy of The Prayer Wheel from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.

Until next time…
